AP Computer Science Java

Aligned with the College Board's AP Computer Science A curriculum, this course introduces students to programming using the Java language, with a focus on object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithm development. Equivalent to a first-semester college computer science course, it builds the skills needed for the AP exam and for further study in computer science. Prior programming experience and familiarity with Algebra 1 are recommended.

• Writing object-oriented programs using classes, objects, and methods
• Working with arrays, ArrayLists, and other core data structures
• Designing and analyzing algorithms for searching and sorting
• Practicing multiple-choice and free-response questions in AP exam format
