FIRST LEGO League Challenge

Building, programming and competing as a robotics team.

A C0deEX FIRST LEGO League team running its robot at a tournament

Overview

Teams design, build and program a robot with LEGO Mindstorms or SPIKE Prime to complete missions on the official FIRST LEGO League field, and research a real-world problem tied to the season theme to present to judges.

What students learn

  • Building and programming a competition robot
  • Mission-based challenges on the official FLL field
  • Researching a real-world problem and presenting a solution to judges
  • Competing at a scrimmage and a regional tournament

FLL Challenge is a full-season team commitment.

Tuition includes one scrimmage and one regional tournament. If the team advances to the State Championship, an additional $50 per student covers extra practice classes and state tournament registration. Our FLL Challenge teams qualified for the Massachusetts State Championship in 2021 and 2022, winning the Innovation Project award at State in 2021. See our results.
